If you would like to create a fresh new look for a bedroom, one of the best ways is to change your textiles. We recommend starting with a crisp, white linen duvet. They are timeless, allow for more play with fun accessories, and on sale right now at Pottery Barn. New accent pillows are an instant update. Beautiful textiles are like art in a room, like the watercolor effect of Eskayel pillows. You can also add interests to a bedroom room with a unique throw. Not only are throws warm and inviting, they can give a plain couch a little punch of color or texture. We searched for our favorite selections and created a pillows and throws boutique for you to browse. Included are great finds like a fur throw from Nordstroms and french phrase wool blanket from Madewell. We also stumbled across some great batik bolster pillows at One Kings Lane. We hope your enjoyed these quick tips for updating a bedroom. View resources for this bedroom and our boutique below. Have a great day!
Remember this post about popping turquoise color? Today you can find the campaign dresser used in this picture on sale at One Kings Lane, with free shipping! There is also a good option at Land of Nod on sale during their 15% off furniture sale. The campaign dresser is one of our favorite pieces. We love the gold accents of the campaign dresser mixed with the pop of color in the Serena and Lily upholstered bed. Beautiful bedding in soft colors compliment the headboard. The muted blues in the Eskayel lumbar pillow and accessories on the dresser tie the room together. To achieve this look see our selections below. Have a great evening!

When we designed this space we wanted it to reflect the cool neutral tones of the ocean. The walls are 25 % strength Anew Gray from Sherwin Williams and the trim and ceiling are plain white. We started with a light blue geometric rug. Then we picked an oatmeal linen upholstered bed with white Matteo bedding. When we decorate we like to mix light and dark woods and different textures to create interest and a more collected feel. That’s why we placed the mirrored light wood nightstands next to the rich, dark wood bed frame. Large aqua glass lamps on the nightstand are a reminder of sea glass. At the base of the bed we choose two tufted linen chairs and mirrored nesting tables to create a sitting area. Overlooking the space is a prism, fringe chandelier reflecting the expanse of natural light in the room. We choose Laurel Liess textiles for our pillow and drapery fabric. As a final touch, we added a variety of ceramic and glass vases for fresh flowers. The details of this fresh beachy master bedroom make it elegant and serene. To create this dreamy bedroom space we focused on the details. Layers of soft fabrics, metals and textures were combined to make it feminine and pretty. You may remember a sneak peek of this bedroom from this post. Today, we want to share with you the details that make this space special. We had fun designing this dreamy bedroom. See below for some ideas on how to recreate this look. Have a wonderful day.
First, the soft print wallpaper laid the foundation for the vintage feel of the space.
We choose some stacked books to decorate the natural wood end tables.
The glass vase with fresh flowers and the textured pottery with green plants brought the outside in.
Finally, we added gold framed fairytale art work to look at and daydream about.

It’s no secret, I love white. It is often the base color for my designs. At first glance it may seem simple to choose a white paint, but there are subtle variations that make all the difference when selecting the right white. To help you pick the perfect white for your project I have created a white paint guide. I divided the selection for white paints into three categories; cool whites, off-whites and gray whites. The first step when you are choosing a white is to consider your overall design and other colors in the space. Warmer whites (off whites) have a creamer tone and go well in a traditional or transitional space as seen here. For a cleaner, crisp, more modern space pick a cool white. Grey whites go well with blues, greens and gray tones. If those are the colors of your furniture and big pieces in the room that will be your best choice. This dining room is a good example of grey white paint. My personal favorite is white with no pigment at all. When I remodel a kitchen, and give it that fresh new look, I almost always choose “white white.” It’s the secret to getting the bright white that goes perfect with my favorite white marbles. When you have an all white look, white paint with no pigment on the cabinets allows the subtleties of a white backsplash or calacata marble come through. I hope this white paint guide will help you as you are trying to choose the right white for your next project. See below for my white paint guide. All these selections are from Benjamin Moore except, West Highland White, which is from Sherwin Williams. Have a great day!
