I love white kitchens, but lately I’ve been designing and drawing inspiration from spaces with beautiful colored cabinetry. For example, a couple weeks ago I showed progress photos of a home I’m working on with black cabinetry. I’ve also highlighted several non-white kitchens and laundry rooms with gorgeous colorful cabinetry in previous posts. One of the hardest parts of designing spaces with color is choosing the perfect paint. Since, I’ve been working with several colors lately, I thought it would be fun to put together a resource for you to use as you are choosing paint for your projects. You can see my cabinetry paint guide below, but first let’s take a look back at some beautiful examples…
The blue cabinetry in this kitchen is stunning. It creates warmth and richness at the same time. Such a beautiful combination of rustic and modern elements. See more details and the before and after pictures of this kitchen here.
Remember this black, white and warm kitchen. I love the amazing mix of colors and textures in this space. You can read more about this kitchen here.
This picture is from my affordable white kitchen remodel post. It’s an example of using a white paint with no pigment to achieve a fresh, crisp, updated look.
Choosing paint can be a big undertaking, but my cabinetry paint guide will make the process a lot easier. I’ve picked several options in blues, grays, greens, whites and blacks for you to pick from. This should simplify the task and hopefully the decision process will be fun. To see more of my designs and favorite inspirations for colored cabinetry you can visit here. I hope you have a great Monday!
