While pinning this weekend I stumbled across a fabulous, blue painted kitchen. I loved so many elements of it’s design, I wanted to share it today. Take a look below at the amazing before and after transformation of this blue, brass and modern kitchen designed by Marianne Strong Interiors.
This kitchen is a great example of color done right. The rich color of the painted blue cabinetry is unique and defines the space. It adds color without being over powering or too casual. The clean lines of the crisp white island add to the modern theme of the space.
I love the how the space is clean and minimal with a little polish. It has several unexpected elements that make it fresh, with a modern feel. To start, I like the shine of the gray, glass tile backsplash and the custom metal and wood open shelving above the range. Then there is the fresh, brass hardware that pops beautifully off the blue cabinetry. I also love the impact and shine of the pendant lights. These brass accents give the kitchen a bright punch of color.
The countertop selections are a gorgeous mix as well. I love the rich, warmth of the dark wood on the island juxtaposed with the cool, Calcutta marble. There is just the right amount of rustic touch in this kitchen. The wood stools with their lighter, natural shade are a perfect pairing with the island countertop.
It was fun to find this inspiring blue painted kitchen. It’s such and beautifully designed mix of modern and rustic elements. If you would like to see more of this home you can view it here. To see my favorite picks for blue and white cabinetry paint see below. Have a great Monday!
