If you follow me regularly, than you know that I love a fresh white kitchen. But sometimes a colored kitchen comes along that has me dreaming of going dark. This week, three beautiful blue kitchens caught my eye. Paired with crisp white uppers or walls, the kitchens still feel bright and clean, but the blue cabinetry creates contrast and a stunning rich vibe. Take a look at these pretty spaces and consider taking your kitchen to the dark side.
Blue and Rustic with Rich Layers of Texture
This beautiful kitchen pairs rustic woods with glam details. The blue-green cabinets are painted Benjamin Moore Newburg Green. The color looks beautiful with the brass details throughout the space, which include Visual Comfort’s Siena Flush Mount and Morris Lantern. The rich vintage runner is the prettiest reddish-orange that pairs perfectly with the blue. Lucite and brass counter stools add a bit of modern edge to the space. For more lucite and brass inspo, read our post on this perfect pairing here. The kitchen has clean waterfall marble countertops, but notice the butcher block edge on one side that is both useful and pretty (Love butcher block? Click here). This kitchen is a beautiful layering of color and texture.
Navy and White Tuxedo Kitchen with Statement Cement Floor
I love how unique this tuxedo kitchen is. The dark navy lower cabinets are paired with white glass-front uppers that feel light and airy while still adding storage space. Glazed subway tiles surround the upper cabinets and add texture. You can pay a lot for hand-glazed tile, but you can also get the look with these that I have used in several of my own projects. The brass globe pendants feel modern and are just different enough from most globe pendants to make a statement (bonus, find them affordably here). The cement tile floor is just perfect. It looks so rich with the navy.
Blue Modern Farmhouse with Industrial Details
This blue kitchen is minimalist but still warm. The cabinets are painted Farrow and Ball Hague Blue and are paired with brass knobs and pulls from the Restoration Hardware Spritz Collection. A huge center island and built-in hutch adds plenty of storage, allowing for a wall of light-filled windows and industrial open shelving. This dark blue kitchen stays bright and fresh with the white details and light oak floors. For a similar flooring look, check out some of my go-to wide plank hardwood floors here.
